In my 20 years of teaching piano and flute, my ultimate passion is to see my students grow. Not only as musicians. But as successful, well-rounded individuals. My greatest joy is to see first-hand the benefits of a musical foundation.

My goal isn't necessarily to develop world-class musicians, but rather to help students develop a lifelong love of music that enriches every aspect of their life.
My teaching style involves getting to know each student's strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes, even what they do in their spare time. I need to know them well in order to communicate with them most effectively.

I offer private piano and flute instruction in the Metro Richmond area for kids kindergarten through high school, as well as for adults of any age. During our 30-minute, one-on-one sessions, we’ll focus on technical foundations and musicianship, such as proper tone production, rhythm, and musical expression.
